Trendy recommends recently released content that is receiving the most interactions. It can help you create rows such as “Trendy,” “Popular New Releases,” or “What’s Trending.”
💡 Unlike Popular, Trendy only includes content that became available within the last 30 days. It is not personalized and counts positive, neutral, and negative interactions, including dislikes.
Rumo selects available content with an availability start date within the past 30 days, then ranks it by the total number of interactions received during the selected period. The most interacted-with items appear first.
You can choose the interaction period:
The default period is 30 days. You can also configure the number of results returned.
Only available content is returned. Content without an availability start date is considered available, but it does not qualify for Trendy because it must have a start date within the past 30 days.
Only the highest-ranked item from each collection is returned.
The Déjà Vu and Boost business rules do not apply.
If no Trendy results are found, Rumo can return a fallback list if one is supplied. The response identifies whether it contains Trendy results or fallback content. If no fallback is available, an empty list is returned.
Each result includes its total interaction count.
📋 Trendy counts all interactions, including dislikes.
