Because You Enjoyed (or BYE) recommends content similar to the latest title a user interacted with positively.

It helps users continue watching content that matches their current mood or interest, without having to search again.

In the context of BYE, a positive interaction is defined as:

• Complete
• Like
• Share

Based on the user’s latest positive interaction, BYE can help you:

• Create contextual rows such as “Because you enjoyed Item X”
• Recommend similar content from the user’s most recent signal
• Keep the user journey flowing after a strong interaction
• Explain why the recommendation is displayed

How it works

Rumo looks at the user’s latest positive interaction and uses that content as the reference item.

It then returns similar content, with the closest recommendations shown first. The reference content is also returned, so your interface can explain the recommendation to the user.
